Flat, Tilt or Full-Motion: Which TV Mount?

Three mount styles, three jobs. Here is which one your wall and room actually need.

Vega Mounting, Santa Clarita. Updated September 2026.

The mount style changes how the TV sits and moves, and how much it costs. Here is the plain version.

Flat (low-profile)

Holds the TV flat and close to the wall. Best when the TV is at eye level and you watch it straight on, like a living room wall opposite the couch. Cleanest look, lowest cost, no angle adjustment.

Tilt

Lets the screen angle down. Best when the TV sits higher than eye level, over a fireplace or up in a bedroom or gym, so it points toward you instead of over your head.

Full-motion (articulating)

Swings out, turns and tilts. Best for corners, for rooms where you watch from more than one spot, or to kill glare from a window. It costs the most and sits a bit further off the wall, but it is the most flexible.
